There's just one week left to participate in Alternate Visions' Mermaid-Not-Manatee contest! Entries will be counted and judged beginning April 1st, and the new 1st and 2nd prize winners will be determined & announced by April 2nd!
First prize will be a BRAND NEW piece of mermaid art by AV, AS WELL AS a mermaid-inspired necklace, made just for you! Second prize will be a mermaid-inspired bracelet, so enter soon for your chance to win!
To Enter: Just send AV a private message on FB, or post on Alternate Visions' page there (or ping me here), w/a poem of your own devising. Poems can be in ANY form or style; but should be about a mermaid who's tired of being mistaken for a manatee. Keep it KIND (neither fat-shaming nor manatee hate will be tolerated), and if you like, keep it fun. (But if you choose, heart-tearing entries will be happily accepted too. :)) No matter what, just tell us about a mermaid who is tired of being mistaken for that other curvy, fair oceanic creature, and you could win some new AV goodies! :D
